It's not, oddly enough, the jet lag that pushes me to get up, but hunger. It is a rare feeling for many of us. I do not judge or criticize the way we are treated, but I doubt that any of this is dictated by a benevolent sentiment intended to protect us from the health threat. I have the feeling that the approach is political and aims to make it known that we are not welcome. I dare not imagine what could become of the world under the yoke of a real pandemic of a really dangerous virus. Opposing feelings cross my mind at times, doubts. The more stringent objectives that I have imposed on myself are salutary to meet. They set a framework, benchmarks. Locked within four walls, we can easily indulge in ease and depression, for we are our own prison. The tens of thousands of thoughts that cross our mind every day inevitably carry negative ones, which should be wrapped up as quickly as possible with dozens of positive ones. This event is a great training ground. It is also an opportunity to face our main enemy, who is only ourselves.

The key word is therefore to hold on, to remain positive, to hang on despite hunger and fatigue. During this time, the Earth turns and the world lives. The planes are still taking off. I will not stop photographing them as the Sun reappears.

Between two calls, I grab one of my favorite cigars that I am forbidden to light. But to sniff it, to smell it, gives undisguised pleasure. Hold on until halfway through the ten days, then descend the other side of this small hill. I have a thought for all the families who were confined during the years of war, in damp cellars, without knowing the outcome of their sacrifices, nor how long they had to last. What I live is nothing compared to them. I don't have the right to complain. I have chosen this moment, I know the outcome and the date, and I am comfortable, connected and in good health. So a little decency doesn't hurt and helps hold up.One last look at the ghost town before turning off the lights and swallowing time with sleep. T
