A moment of Grace

Writer's picture: ThierryThierry

Immobile, a little lost between two worlds, my heart begins to quiver when a perfectly gentle breeze caresses my face. Carrying with it an equally perfect fragrance, a blend of Jasmine and Honeysuckle. The scorching sun of the day gave way to an orange glow making up the decor of this magical moment. Piano notes twirl above the swimming pool. Satie invades the space and gives a binder to this suspended moment. I imagine women's hands voluptuously caressing the piano keys, a little higher up the floors. Even the clinking of the cutlery of children shouting in Chinese is impeccable and interspersed in this unique play. Life. Merely. A tangle of lives, perfectly arranged for those who know how to listen with their soul. A moment of Grace. A fraction of happiness that should be captured and let fly away. It took me almost as long to get these lines out as it did to conceive a child. Eight months back in Singapore, and finally letting creation take its place in my busy schedule. This other me who only knows how to create. As in a refined dish, each element must find its place, at the right time, well dosed. Don't force things. Thank. And listen again, open your eyes and your heart to the wonders of this world. One day we will all go to another universe, unknown, in another form. Happiness is there, at hand for whoever wants it, for who knows how to see, listen and receive.
