Day 13 - Progress

Writer's picture: ThierryThierry

This man looks very small in the maintenance hangar. Man facing the machine, humanity facing progress. It’s fascinating how much can come out of such a small brain. This little ant that we are, continues to create, invent and dominate Nature. We transport ourselves around our tiny blue ball thanks to steel angels weighing several tons, majestic with their wings outstretched. It reminds me of the 90s and my visit to Air Inter maintenance. I had written a text "The Death of the Bird" which I would publish soon.

.

This progress, linked to transport, is part of the last century. Today we travel, we educate, we talk, we love, from a distance, through a screen. These screens are only reflections of an Artificial intelligence which tries to take more and more place in our lives. AI as they say, armed with powerful algorithms, is launching an assault on our memories, on our knowledge that we have delegated to our digital equipment. "What's the point of going to school? Everything is on the Internet! A high school said. What is the point of thinking, what is the point of creating since algorithms can do it for us? I've even read that algorithms have created "Van Gogh" or "Rembrandts", that AI is loaded into some cameras, that all you have to do is press the button! Why live in the end? Are we also going to delegate to our digital twin an Artificial consciousness ?!
